how does it work?

 

BlueBox connects a wide range of information delivery systems including paging, phone, visual information and radio with fire, safety, environmental and process alarm systems and routes related information to the correct destination in seconds. Control information associated with specific alarm or event provide the key to how BlueBox manages the subsequent response. For example, an activation of a flame detector in a tank farm commands BlueBox to instigate a specific pre-scripted response task list. Customised incident management consoles provide a manual alternative. Pre-configured responses to fire, gas, terrorist, oil-spill threats are presented as dedicated panel buttons. Notification - the most time-consuming aspect of an incident - is automated (based on incident type),drastically reducing the workload and stress levels.

 

can BlueBox reduce labour costs?

 

A typical semi-automated production facility employ operators to monitor and facilitate batch production with each operator overseeing key aspects of the production cycle. This usually involves long periods of inactivity interspersed with high levels of activity. Utilising automation techniques linked to process information software with BlueBox as the information gateway between process and operator, would ensure that operator task scheduling and delivery can be managed in an efficient  way. As less people are required to manage highly automated processes, worker safety becomes part of worker / process loop. The monitoring of personal alarm devices by BlueBox completes this loop.

If your fire and gas detection network is addressable and has a data or printer interface or capability, BlueBox can extend the capabilities of your alarm detection systems, forming the core of an on-site safety and incident management solution. BlueBox can link your detection system to 3D hazard mapping, environmental health and safety management software and to your automated processes.

Our systems are designed to suit your specific conditions. We pride ourselves in providing solution where others fail.  Locations with extreme environments or difficult travelling arrangements call for an alternative approach and our assessment will highlight your facilities strengths and weaknesses. The solution we provide can include equipment redundancy, or alternatively we provide simple to exchange spare parts and back this with an excellent training program for your IT, electrical and technical staff that will cover much more than the skills necessary to manage BlueBox.
